8 8If you have dreamed of learning special skills from a Michelin star chef, or would love to cook like the Italians do, you enjoy trying new foods in restaurants, farmhouses and tasting rooms, then you will really enjoy one of our Food Tours Europe. A range from a half day to a 4-day cooking school is available for you to experience, as well as many tours with gastronomy as the focus. Most of our Food Tours Europe include a half-day cooking lesson where you spend the morning preparing lunch, then while away a couple of hours under the shade of trees overlooking the vineyards while you enjoy the fruits of your labours. Scenic tours and exploring the history, the wine, and sites of interest in the area are included in the itinerary, as well as dining at gourmet restaurants.
The cooking school food tours have a real focus on cooking, with morning lessons and afternoon tasting sessions of locally produced wine, honey, olive oil, hams and cheeses or other excellent quality produce. You keep the recipes so you can surprise your family when you return home! These run from 1-4 days.

Normandy is famous for its apple and pear juices, cider and Calvados (apple liqueur), cheeses (Camembert) butter and other dairy products. Best known is the Provence region where tomatoes, olives, onions, capsicums, thyme and basil grow everywhere. Add almost any sort of fish fresh from the Mediterranean, oysters, mussels and other shellfish, and you have the base of many delicious local dishes.
