A great day to finish off the week in the Italian lakes was a ferry trip to the Villa Balbionello with its amazing gardens. Love Bear enjoyed the ferry ride across the lake - not his first, but as it was his last time (this trip) he took a whole seat for himself.

The gardens were so well designed that from every angle on the promontory there was a view to the lake which was different from the last one!

We were so lucky with the weather, especially for taking photos of all the stunning views and for enjoying some boating on the lake. This home belonged to Guide Monzino, famous explorer and mountaineer, who generously bequeathed it to Italy when he died.

Love Bear was a little sad at leaving the Italian lakes, but the view from his bedroom window was so delightful on the morning of our departure, that he sat and waited for the sun to rise.
