After flying to Brittany at the weekend, Love Bear took a walk through the old medieval town to the Old Port, where preparations were under way for the fabulous Regatta Week of the Morbihan gulf, held in May every second year. Regattas, old wooden boats, music and dancing, food and wine, warm weather and fair winds! What more could a bear ask for? (lots of honey....?)

Much of the old wall which protected the town from invaders is still intact, with the stone bridges and entry gates now accommodating cars. Half-timbered houses and well cared-for gardens surround the town. A large cathedral and a great selection of shops, restaurants, bistros and hotels makes this a must-see visit!

After a quiet time to cool off in the cathedral (lighting a candle for his absent friend), lunch and a coffee with friends in the town square was a great finish to a delightful morning.

never stop being curious
