We arrived at our hotel on lake Maggiore to a stunning view just across the road. The forecast of rain and a thunderstorm helped us to choose a ferry ride to the Borromeo palaces, one of them with marionette theatres and many puppets which caught Love Bear's attention.

He managed to stay out of the way of two burly butlers.

 

But the 'hell' theatre was too exciting so he sat and waited for something to happen. Nothing did, of course, except that he was shoved unceremoniously in a bag!

Until we got to the horses tack room in an underground shell and stone encrusted cave!

A quick sprint through the gardens for lunch at the cafe and the rain had stopped for the day!
