This sporty 6-day cycle tour along the Danube offers a perfect combination of physical activity and cultural discoveries. The route takes you through breathtaking landscapes and historic cities that inspire with their rich history and nostalgic charm. The historic Danube metropolises of Vienna, Bratislava and Budapest amaze visitors with their classic, imperial flair. Tour Character: Level 1-2

The Austrian section of the route has well-developed cycle paths, in Hungary you also cycle on country roads and farm tracks. More traffic is to be expected when entering and leaving the city. 

Included in the Cycling Tour:

• 5 nights in 3* and 4* hotel accommodation
• Breakfast or 5x half-board (extra charge)
• Daily luggage transport Vienna-Budapest (max. 2 pieces of luggage (max. 20kg/piece) with max. 30 kg/Person)

• Handlebar bag with route book, maps and information material per room

• Return transportation of own bikes season 1 every Friday, in season 2+3 every Saturday, € 69,-. Arrival in Vienna the following day by approx. 10:00 am. Booking of an extra night recommended.
• Local tax payable on spot (approx. € 1 - 2,50 per person/night) 

Notes:

• The mileages and approximations are distances of the recommended routes 
• Please be prepared by packing all necessary items, for example, proper rain gear (jacket and pants), sun hat, sunscreen and proper sport shoes 
• Arrival and departure to and from Vienna is a personal obligation not included in tour price
• In Hungary you have to wear a safety vest at night and by poor vision outside of cities/villages
• This cycling tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility. Individual requests are in special cases possible (ie. handicapped accessible room)
• In Austria it is mandatory for children under 12yrs to wear a helmet when on a bike.
• In Slovakia everyone must wear a helmet by law outside of the city limits.
• Supplement € 60,- per room / night in Budapest with 3 nights minimum stay at tour start Vienna 27.07.2025 (= Formula 1 Grand Prix Budapest 01. - 03.08.2025) 

Arrival/parking/departure:

• Hotel garage of the arrival hotel: approx. € 30.- per day, unguarded, locked (Cat. A)  Public parking garage = Park & Ride: approx. € 25,- per week, unguarded, at Leopoldau subway station.
