Lake Koenigssee & Hochkoenig 8-day Walking Tour

Explore two Alpine landscapes during this mountain hiking tour from Bavaria to Salzburg. The Eurohike team takes you on an eight-day tour along the beautiful pathways in the Bavarian and Salzburg Alps. A feeling of absolute calm as you gaze upon the impressive rock formations is included. Fixed point on each route: the detour into one of the many alpine huts, where a cool beer or sparkling ‘Kracherl’ will be waiting for you!

Highlights:

• Königssee & Berchtesgaden National Park: Steeply rising rock walls and a nature reserve straight out of a picture book fill the eyes. If you look closely, you might catch a glimpse of a chamois or a shy marmot.
• Alpine huts with homemade delicacies: A landscape with scenery as romantic as the famous Austrian ‘Heimatfilms’. Sitting right in the middle of it are numerous huts. Take a break and enjoy the hearty creations of the landlords.
• Torrener Joch & Jenner: Expect a long climb to the border crossing and on to the Jenner summit. And at Bluntautal, you will be rewarded with unique alpine landscape and rugged rock formations.

Tour Character - Mountain Hiking Level 3

Beautiful and good walking paths, just a few longer climbs require good basic fitness level and partly sure-footedness. If you love alpine pastures, brilliant views and a being high up you will enjoy this tour. The mountain trails with fantastic views of the mountain world and the overnight stays at the foot of Hochkoenig mountain will fascinate you.
