Experience a varied cycling tour through the heart of southwestern Germany – from vibrant Stuttgart to cosmopolitan Frankfurt on the River Main. The Neckar River is your constant companion as you ride through picturesque vineyards, historic towns, and impressive natural landscapes. Discover traditional places like Lauffen am Neckar, the charming town of Bad Wimpfen, romantic Heidelberg, and lively Mannheim with its modern art and music scene.
The tour ends in the Rhine metropolis of Mainz, where Roman history meets Rhineland joie de vivre. Enjoy a well-balanced mix of culture, cuisine, and active discovery along well-maintained cycle paths – with the river always in view and plenty of opportunities to pause and enjoy. Your floating hotel offers an elegant atmosphere with Rococo-inspired touches: playful details, tasteful decorations, and reproductions of famous paintings create a setting reminiscent of a small palace afloat.
The panorama lounge with its cosy bar is tastefully designed and ideal for unwinding – whether over a glass of wine or a cocktail. In the stylishly furnished restaurant, the kitchen crew serves a varied and well-balanced menu. The spacious sun deck, equipped with loungers, seating areas and partially covered zones, provides the perfect space to relax and enjoy the fresh air. Please note: The stairs leading to the sun deck are very steep.
The 48 outside cabins are spread across two decks, each approx. 12 m² in size, and equipped with a private bathroom (shower/WC), hairdryer, TV, minibar, safe (deposit required), onboard telephone and individually adjustable air conditioning. In the eco cabins, engine and generator noise may be audible. Cabins with twin beds feature two separate beds, one of which can be converted into a sofa during the day. Cabins with double beds are fitted with a large bed (160 x 200 cm) with two separate mattresses. Main Deck 22 x 2-bed cabins, all with large panoramic windows (non-opening). The Deluxe twin-bed cabins offer slightly more space than the standard ones. Upper Deck 26 x 2-bed cabins, all featuring a french balcony (floor-to-ceiling windows that can be opened).
Mostly on well-developed long-distance cycle paths along flat river landscapes, with paved or finely gravelled surfaces. The route also includes some quiet country roads. Gentle hills and occasional climbs must be tackled, making this tour ideal for active travellers who enjoy both exercise and comfort.

Stuttgart / Bad Cannstatt – Embarkation, Cruise to Lauffen
Individual arrival in Bad Cannstatt near Stuttgart. Embarkation at 3:00 p.m. At 5:00 p.m., it’s time to cast off! Enjoy your first dinner cruise as the ship makes its way from Bad Cannstatt to Lauffen am Neckar – hometown of the famous poet Friedrich Hölderlin and a wine town rich in tradition.
Lauffen – Bad Wimpfen, Cycle tour approx. 30 km
Ease into your cycling tour with a gentle and relaxed start. Spend the morning exploring this traditional winegrowing town on foot. Then enjoy a leisurely ride along the Neckar on well-maintained cycle paths through gentle river valleys, past vineyards and picturesque wine villages. Along the way, it's well worth stopping in one of the small wine towns, known for their rustic taverns and welcoming local inns.
Bad Wimpfen – Eberbach, Cycle tour approx. 45 km
After breakfast, cycle to the beautiful Staufer town of Eberbach. Historic buildings, a picturesque old town, and imposing city walls give this place – where tradition and customs live alongside modern life – a unique charm. If you’re up for it, you might take some time to hike a section of the Neckarsteig trail towards the Katzenbuckel (approx. 6 km one way to the summit, with an elevation gain of around 650 m). Or simply enjoy a relaxing stroll along the Neckar promenade.
Eberbach – Heidelberg, Cycle tour approx. 34 km
Today’s route takes you through the Odenwald, via Hirschhorn and Neckarsteinach, all the way to Heidelberg. From afar, the ruins of Heidelberg Castle can already be seen towering above the old town. Stroll across the famous sandstone bridge or wander through the narrow alleys and dreamy squares of the historic center. Tip: After a short walk uphill, enjoy the stunning view from the Scheffel Terrace overlooking Heidelberg Castle and the valley below.
Heidelberg – Worms, Cycle tour approx. 50 km
Today, the Roman town of Ladenburg with its historic old center awaits you on your route along the beautiful Neckar River towards Worms. Take the opportunity for a short detour before passing through Mannheim, the "City of Squares," where the Neckar and Rhine rivers meet. Along today’s ride, industry and natural beauty alternate, offering plenty of variety. In Worms – your stage destination and the legendary city of the Nibelungen – history is vivid and ever-present. There’s a lot to discover here.
Worms – Nierstein, Cycle tour approx. 37 km, Cruise to Mainz
You now follow the Rhine Cycle Route directly along the river to Nierstein. With nearly 1,000 hectares of vineyards, Nierstein is the largest wine-growing community on the Rhine. Take some time to explore the historic town center with its medieval marketplace and noble estates. If time allows, why not enjoy a small wine tasting as a perfect way to round off this delightful cycling stage? In the early evening, your ship departs from Nierstein and takes you to Mainz during dinner.
Mainz / Frankfurt/Main, Cycle tour approx. 45 km
Last but not least, you reach the third river of your Three Rivers Tour: Starting at the confluence with the Main, you follow the Main Cycle Route through the Schwanheimer Düne nature reserve and eventually arrive in the financial metropolis of Frankfurt.
