Portugal 7-day guided Wine Tour in Lisbon and Porto

Portuguese Wine Tours are an amazing experience. Portugal has fantastic wine that is a great value for money, wonderful food and friendly people.

Portuguese wine is the result of traditions introduced to the region by ancient civilizations, such as the Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Greeks, and mostly the Romans. Portugal started to export its wines to Rome during the Roman Empire.

Although Portugal is smaller than the state of Indiana, it's home to hundreds of native wine grapes.

  • Douro Reds. A Red Wine That Makes Cabernet Look Like a Big Wimp
  • Alicante Bouschet. Smoky Sweet Barbecue in Your Glass
  • Three Whites: Arinto, Encruzado & Antão Vaz
  • Vinho Verde.

... and of course don't forget the Portuguese liqueur made from ginja berries called 'Ginja'

Port Wine - is a Portuguese fortified wine produced exclusively in the Douro Valley in the northern provinces of Portugal. The wines of the region were officially demarcated in 1756. While the term demarcation sounds confusing, it basically means the quality of Port wine is protected.
