Bordeaux, due to its famous vineyards, is known all over the world. So, it is is the logical starting point for your cycling trip, with its arches and its cultural and historical places.
Our itinerary will guide you from the ‘Entre deux mers’ area to the land of ‘Haut Médoc’. Along the way you will be met with the aroma of the delicate & fruity fragrances diffused from the famous wine properties, and consider the history of the old properties that you will cross and pass by.
Arrival in Bordeaux.

Bordeaux – Cadillac | 49 km.
Proud of its new transport infrastructure, Bordeaux has safe riding trails for bike riders! Cyclists can easily depart the town centre to ride on original and rustic cycling paths which lead to Créon, a typical fortified village of this area! From here riders can easily continue through the vineyards of Cadillac until they arrive at this wall-surrounded village. Dinner and accommodation in 3* hotel.
Excursion to Sauternes vineyards | 46 km.
Another cycling loop providing stunning views of the region's vineyards. After riding between forest and vineyards, the Chateau Yquem comes into sight providing a wonderful wine tasting experience - that of the honey flavoured sweet white wines highly appreciated by wine lovers. From the deep cellars to the small routes between vineyards, cyclists will ride through this area renowned throughout the world for its soil and produce. En route you will have the opportunity to stop at the Toulouse Lautrec resting place before coming back to Cadillac via Loupiac. Accommodation in 3* hotel or B&B.
Cadillac – St Emilion | 50 km.
This stage will have you cycling through the heart of ‘Entre-deux Mers’ vineyards, from the Garonne to the Dordogne river. Riding through this area you will have the opportunity to visit the charming village of Rauzan, overlooked by its dignified medieval chateau, before reaching the prestigious village of Saint-Emilion, one of the area's most historic and renowned villages. Dinner and accommodation in 3* hotel.
St Emilion – Blaye | 64 km.
Leaving St Emilion, a symbol of some of the greatest vintage wines, you will cycle along Bordeaux vineyards and continue on to Côtes de Blaye AOC vineyards. Blaye is also known for its citadel overlooking the Gironde river. Dignified and magnificent, the citadel was built by Vauban during the 17th century and has been classified as an historical icon. Dinner and accommodation in 3* hotel.
Blaye – Bordeaux | 61 km + optional loop to Pauillac 20 km.
Start today with a Gironde river crossing by boat to reach Lamarque and its famous Médoc vineyards and chateaux wine cellars. For the most adventurous and for the vintage wine lovers, a ride to Pauillac is a must! Then, for a wonderful finish, take time to stop at the prestigious Château Margaux on arrival at Bordeaux. Accommodation in 3* hotel or B&B.
