Bike & Boat Tour of the Greek islands in the Aegean sea

On a comfortable Turkish gullet and by bicycle we explore the sunny islands of the Greek Aegean. The islands are a magical and mythical world filled with historical monuments and an abundance of stories.

Come with us on a voyage of discovery and experience the Aegean from a special perspective, namely, by land and by sea. Relax while swimming in idyllic bays, enjoy the fabulous vistas, and walk in the footsteps of a turbulent, glorious past.

Let us take you to the ancient Asclepion where Hippocrates, the famous physician, practiced his art. Enjoy the peaceful and lovely island Lipsi and dive into the atmosphere of the holy island Patmos. Get astonished by the unique panoramic views which are offered during the cycle tours.

Accommodation:

Premium Ship (all cabins with shower/toilet) - The ship is a beautifully designed 32-meter Gulet made of wood that has been crossing the sea since 2000 and was completely rebuilt in 2013. Beside the comfortable salon, 7 guest cabins are furnished with a sense for comfort with air conditioning and private shower and WC. The cosy sundeck offers plenty of space to relax in and reminisce on the wonderful tour experiences. The friendly crew gives all to ensure a carefree journey. At mealtimes the talented cook will pamper you with deliciously prepared dishes of the Turkish cuisine.

Requirements (level 2 - 3):

Aside from two challenging cycle tours on Kalymnos and Kos, this trip belongs to 'cycling less difficult trips'. The day-tours average of 16 mi./25 km and take you through mainly hilly and mountainous terrain and will be completed without any time-constraints. There are also some extended climbs where walking your bicycle is of course permitted. Most of the roads are asphalted and rarely frequented. Your tour guide informs you each day about the tour details. You can either decide to cycle alone, using the information and maps provided, or join one of our tour guides or other participants. Helmet use is mandatory on all cycle tours. You are strongly encouraged to bring your own (well-fitted) helmet. Cycle helmets are available on board in limited number (on request). You are free to set aside a half or full day to swim or spend on board the boat, instead of taking a planned cycle tour.

Children: We believe that only children in a good physical condition and with a minimum age of 10 and previous bicycle tour experience are able to master the cycle tours on their own strength. Please note that the minimum height for a rental bicycles is 1.50 m (5 ft.)

Catering:

The on-board chef is a member of the crew and prepares the breakfast and one warm meal a day. The half board starts with the dinner on the arrival day and ends with the breakfast on the departure day.

Internet availability:

These Turkish boats do not offer a WiFi connection. If you need to connect to the internet during the tour, we recommend to take your portable electronic device to a cafe or bar somewhere in the harbour. Free WiFi is on offer almost everywhere. If you order something to eat or drink, then you are able to use the WiFi to your heart's content.
