Explore the heart of the Julian Alps on 8-day hiking adventure, feel the nature and taste traditional Slovenian food & wine in different regions. Enjoy the world-famous picturesque Lake Bled and amazing glacial Lake Bohinj. Experience breathtaking scenery of high mountain lakes and rugged limestone peaks on a 3-day hut-to-hut hike and discover the traditional ways of the shepherds.

Enjoy the stunning Soča River Valley, one of the most beautiful river valleys in the world and visit the historic town of Kobarid - blend of nature, history and delicious food. Leave the mountain trails of Triglav National Park and walk into the vineyards of Goriška Brda, taste some traditional local food and world class wine.   • Day 1

    Arrival in Ljubljana

    Arrive in Ljubljana, check into your room, walk along the river banks and admire bridges, explore the historical city centre and medieval old town, stunning architecture, the colorful marketplace. Visit Ljubljana Castle and treat yourself to beautiful views of the city from the castle’s ramparts or Outlook Tower. Afterwards there will be a welcome dinner with traditional Slovenian food.   • Day 2

    Lake Bled, Vintgar gorge, Bohinj lake | Approx.1.5hrs 4km (2.5 mi)

    After breakfast a short transfer will take you to the world-famous Lake Bled, a picture postcard lake with island church and a fairytale medieval castle built on a precipice overlooking the lake. A good start will be a hike through the spectacular Bled Vintgar Gorge - a narrow canyon. After lunch, we will take a short walk on a hill that has the most beautiful view in the world. Be sure to try a local specialty, Bled custard-cream cake. Next, we continue to glacial Lake Bohinj, a peaceful alpine valley, located in the heart of the Triglav National Park.   • Day 3

    Hiking in the Julian Alps | Approx. 5hrs 8kms (5 mi)

    After breakfast, we start our 3-day HUT to HUT hiking adventure in the heart of Triglav National Park. We pass shepherds’ cottages and walk through the green meadows of the charming Alpine pastures. We continue on mountain ridges that offer one of the most spectacular and breathtaking views in the Slovenian Alps. We spend the night in a picturesque mountain hut with a view of the surrounding peaks and watch the sunset! Meals included: Breakfast, dinner. Accommodation in Mountain hut

  • Day 4

    Hiking in the Valley of the 7 Triglav lakes | Approx. 6hours 7,5km (4,5 mi)

    We begin a truly unique day by descending into the Valley of the Seven Triglav Lakes and enjoying a rising and falling traverse through rocky terrain. The majestic mountain trail takes us through breath-taking scenery of mountain lakes and offers spectacular views. We follow the scenic trail towards the valley and enter into mountain lovers’ paradise - one of the most beautiful high-altitude alpine valleys in Europe. The magnificent vistas and beautiful mountains will help you see why Triglav National Park is also called the 'Kingdom of the Golden Horn' and is a source of pride to all Slovenians. We spend the night in a comfortable mountain hut, next to one of the beautiful lakes. Accommodation in Mountain hut. Meals included: Breakfast, dinner

  • Day 5

    Hiking in the Julian Alps swim in lake Bohinj | Approx. 5hrs : 6,6km (4 mi)

    We slowly leave the highest peaks behind and enter the land of the Alpine pastures. On the walk back, enjoy magnificent views over the Bohinj area. We pass by some typical shepherd huts where they carry on a traditional way of life and we taste traditional Slovenian delights in one of the huts.

    We continue to the stunning Lake Bohinj, and take time for a swim in the crystal-clear lake. This spectacular hiking adventure will end with a tasty Slovenian dinner. Meals included: Breakfast, dinner Accommodation in Kranjska Gora

  • Day 6

    Hiking Vrsic pass & explore Soca river valley | Approx. 3hrs 6km (4 mi)

    After an early breakfast we continue on a scenic mountain road to Vršič pass (1625m). From the plateau on the pass we hike to Sleme, where you will be amazed by all the beauty and breath-taking views of majestic mountains. After lunch in one of the mountain huts we continue our way down into one of the most beautiful and unique unspoilt river valleys in the world - Soča River Valley where we explore the historic town of Kobarid – a blend of history, nature and delicious food.

    In the evening it is time for a gastronomic experience, dinner prepared by one of most innovative chefs, Ana Roš, at her restaurant Hiša Franko (Star of Netflix’s Chef’s Table – Season 2) and World's Best Female Chef for 2017 by The World's 50 Best Restaurants organisation and among 50 World’s Best Restaurants for 2017. Meals included: Breakfast, dinner. Accommodation in Kobarid

  • Day 7

    Kozjak waterfalls and vineyards of Goriska Brda | Approx. 1hr 3,5km (2 mi)

    We start the day with a pleasant stroll near the Soča River where the path takes us to the lovely hidden Kozjak waterfalls with its beautiful pool. Before lunch you will also have time to visit the World War 1 Museum and learn about the history of the area.

    After lunch we continue along a picturesque route to the Slovenia's wine growing region of Goriška Brda to enjoy a Mediterranean landscape and magnificent views. It is a land of gently rolling hills, covered with orchards and vineyards and dotted with small villages. You will have time to swim in the pool or just relax with a glass of wine and enjoy!

    Farewell dinner will be served in the family run tourist farm with breathtaking views of the rolling hills of the Goriška Brda region. Each dish will be enhanced by a selection of our host’s wine. Together we will raise a toast to a great adventure in Slovenia. Meals included: Breakfast, dinner. Accommodation in Goriška Brda

  • Day 8

    Goodbye Slovenia

    After breakfast, you will be transferred to Ljubljana for your next adventure. Meals included: Breakfast
