Arrival in Colmar.
Enjoy time discovering the city of Colmar, the authentic treasure of Alsace, with its various charming quarters, its little Venise atmosphere and its exceptional museums. Accommodation in 3* hotel in B&B.
Colmar – Kaysersberg | 30 km.
First ride reaches the charming authentic village of Eguisheim and its ramparts. From here we continue on the famous ‘vineyards route’ towards Turckheim. Overlooked by the imperial fortress of Hohlandsbourg, the city with its centuries old stoned houses conveys a medieval and deeply historic atmosphere. Then, ride on to Kaysersberg, one of the most beautiful cities of Alsace, with an impressive architectural heritage. Accommodation in 3* hotel in B&B.
Kaysersberg – Sélestat | 25 km.
Still following the ‘vineyards route’, where we see extended scenic vineyard landscapes sprinkled with charming small villages as Ribeauvillé and Riquewihr. These villages, rich in historical past, have kept all their authenticity and their identity mixing tradition and modernity. Finally reach Sélestat: city of contrasts, at the junction of 2 areas between Vosges and Ried. Dinner and accommodation in 2* hotel.
Excursion autour de Sélestat | 27 km or 43 km.
An exciting and challenging riding experience conquering the climb to the Chateau Haut Koenigsbourg. An important tourist site of Alsace, situated on a hill overlooking the valley, the Chateau was renovated for the Emperor William II. This impressive fortress offers visitors a comprehensive view of the architecture as well as the culture and way of life in a château of the 15th century. Dinner and accommodation in 2* hotel.
Sélestat – Colmar | 59 km.
This last stage is more relaxed and less strenuous, travelling back on easier terrain to reach the Rhin river, riding on small countryside scenic routes until Colmar. Accommodation in 3* hotel in B&B.
