Innsbruck to Salzburg 7-day Cycling Tour Level 2
Tyrol, Berchtesgaden and Salzburg: When the white snow splendor disappears in the spring, the beautiful landscape of this region with its green pastures and lush green meadows and all the flowers come out. The rivers and lakes with an outstanding scenery in the background, as well as the picturesque villages make this bike tour unique.
Always along the Inn, it is flat or slightly downhill. From the 4th day onwards you have to expect a few slopes The majority of the routes are on cycle paths and low traffic roads, which are largely asphalted (some short sections on moderately busy roads).

Innsbruck – Zillertal, approx. 45km
Worth seeing is the old city center with the "Golden Roof". After that, you leave Innsbruck by the Olympic Village and cycle via Hall to Wattens. Here you can visit the Swarovski Crystal Worlds. Via Schwaz you reach Strass im Zillertal.
Zillertal - Wörgl, approx. 25km
Today several castles show the way to Brixlegg and Rattenberg (smallest town in Tyrol). Visit the museum of Tyrolean farms before you reach Wörgl.
Wörgl – Kirchberg/Kitzbühel, approx. 24km
From the Inntal Valley you cycle into the hilly “Kaiserwinkl” of Tyrol and by passing picturesque villages you reach Kitzbühel. Tip: you can shorten the way by taking a train from Wörgl to Westendorf (18km, 300m in altitude).
Kirchberg/Kitzbühel – Lofer, approx. 45km + train ride St. Johann - Saalfelden
Cycling to St. Johann, up to Hochfilzen and Leogang you will cross the summit by train until you reach Saalfelden in the Saalachtal. Follow the river Saalach to Lofer.
Lofer - Salzburg, approx. 45km
Leaving the traditional Lofer, the cycle route leads you along the banks of the Saalach along the "green border" to the Bavarian Bad Reichenhall. Once again, in Austria, you will meet soon in the cultural city of Salzburg, the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
