Vienna to Bratislava 3-day Danube Cycling Tour

The Danube cycling path does not end up in Vienna! East of Vienna begins the fascinating landscape of the Pannonian Lowlands. The wonderful “Donauauen” National Park is host to one of the last primeval forests in Europe. Furthermore, the Slovakian capital Bratislava enchants its guests with a lovely restored old city centre and numerous intriguing sights.

Paths are paved and mostly flat. Upon entering and leaving cities there is, but of course, traffic that must be closely observed

Included in the Cycling Tour:

• 2 nights in 4* and middle range hotel accommodation
• Breakfast or dinner (surcharge) - 59 EUR drinks excl.
• Daily luggage transport up to hotel in Bratislava (max. 2 pieces of luggage (max. 20kg/piece) with max. 30kg/Person)
• Return transfer by public bus from Bratislava to Vienna, departure at 2.00pm

• Bike helmet – payable locally 44 EUR

• Return transfer Bratislava-Vienna by hydrofoil / Price depends on the schedule time (own bike included / limited space, reservation in advance)
• Local tax payable on spot (approx. € 1 - 2,5 per person/night)
• Bike insurance (22-49 EUR per bike)

Notes:

• The mileages and approximations are distances of the recommended routes 
• Please be prepared by packing all necessary items, for example, proper rain gear (jacket and pants), sun hat, sunscreen and proper sport shoes 
• Arrival and departure to and from Vienna is a personal obligation not included in tour price 
• In Slovakia you must wear a helmet by law outside of city limits
• All rental bikes are equipped with a pannier (saddle bag) and an odometer. 
• This cycling tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility. Individual requests are in special cases possible (ie. handicapped accessible room)

Arrival/parking/departure:

• Public parking places: unguarded, free of charge, directly behind the hotel 
• Public parking garage: Park & Ride: approx. 25 EUR per week, unguarded, at the underground/metro station Leopoldau
• Departure Sunday and Mondays only
