Best of Italy 9-day tour

Rome

Our first day in Rome! We will start the day with the group coming together before heading into the heart of the city. We start our tour at the gates of the city at Piaza del Popolo. From here we will walk to the famous Spanish Steps and the views. From here we head to Trevi Fountain and throw a coin in to ensure our return to Rome one day. Our final stop for the day will be the Pantheon with it beautiful architecture. In the evening we will enjoy first dinner together and reflect on our the experiences of the day.

Rome and the Vatican

Our first stop this morning is Piazza Navona, this once race track is now a square filled with art, fountains, and open air markets. The rest of the day will be spent at the Vatican where we will see the impressive St.Peters Cathedral and, of course, the Vatican museum including the breathtaking Sistine Chapel. This will be a very busy day providing much to discuss over dinner in the evening.

Rome and the Colosseum

Our final day in Rome will be filled with rich history. We will see where gladiators and the Roman Empire once walked and lived. Our first stop will be the Colosseum where we can glance into the lavish and extravagant lives they once lived. From the Colosseum we will head into Palatine Hill and work our way down into the Roman Forum. This final day will cap off an amazing three days of seeing the absolute best Rome has to offer. Our final dinner will be here in this amazing city.

Rome to Florence

We say our goodbyes to Rome and board a train for the beautiful city of Florence. After checking into our hotel we spend the afternoon taking in the wonders of this great city. We will visit the towering Cathedral where those who are brave enough can climb the stairs to the top which provides a birds eye view of the city. From here we will head to the Ponte Vecchio and stroll across this incredible bridge that is so rich in history. Our evening together will be spent enjoying a true Tuscan dinner and possibly a Gelato on the street.

Florence and Tuscany

The morning will be spent in a few of Florence's famous museums where the statue of David will be sure to amaze you! After viewing some of the worlds most incredible artwork we board a bus headed for Siena. This bus ride will take us through the heart of Tuscany with hillsides dotted with vineyards and villas. Siena will transport us back to a medieval time and it dramatic square will be sure to impress. After dinner in Siena we will hop back on the bus and return to Florence for the night.

Florence to cinque Terre

It's time to leave the big cities and museums behind and head to quaint villages of the Cinque Terre. We will journey to Corniglia one of the five villages of the Cinque Terre. After checking into our hotel we can stroll through this old fisherman's village and take in the incredible views of the Mediterranean. Our dinner will offer one of the most amazing views you can imagine and all of your senses will be on overload! The sunset will surely amaze you as the heavens and earth meet across the deep blue waters.

Cinque Terre

Our morning will be spent walking the Path of Love, a paved path above the shoreline connecting the villages of Manarola and Riomaggiore. We will then head to the village of Vernazza and follow the steps up to a lookout tower that sits high above the village. The rest of the day is yours to shop, swim in the Mediterranean, lay out in the sun, or hike the trails above each of these villages. We will meet up later for dinner when we can share our experiences in the Cinque Terre.

Cinque Terre to Florence

We say goodbye to the beautiful villages of the Cinque Terre and board a train heading back to Florence. Our first stop will be Pisa, here we can snap the iconic photos of us attempting to brace the tower from falling! We will also visit the baptistry and soak in the entire square. After our short stop in Pisa we board our train once again heading for Florence. After checking into our hotel the final evening is yours to stroll through Florence and do a little window shopping for any last minute souvenirs. Our final dinner together provides the opportunity to share the many wonderful memories we created over the past 8 days together.

Florence

After breakfast we will check out of our hotel and head to the Florence International Airport.
