Alpine pastures on the Rigi - family walking tour

Because of her characteristic shape, the Rigi is often called the queen of mountains. From here you can see the Pilatus, the Gotthard Massif and the many deep blue lakes of central Switzerland. This family friendly hike leads from one cottage to the next. You sleep in the hay and in cosy family rooms and enjoy the hospitality high up on the Alp.

Tour character: level 1

The tours are made for families but a certain fitness and hiking ability are still required. The hikes lead on well established paths through alpine terrain. Minimum age: 8 years

Included in the Walking Tour:

• 4 nights accommodation - mountain inn or middle class hotels, 1 x sleeping in the straw. In one mountain inn and the accommodation in the straw you will find the bathrooms in the hallways.

Not included in the tour:

• Rides with public transport. Approximately CHF 16.-per person
• Tourist tax, if due, is not included in the price
• An overnight stay in straw is planned in Brunnen. If desired, the overnight stay can also be booked in a hotel for an extra charge (adults CHF 49.-/person, children CHF 20.-/person)

Arrival/ Departure:

• Arrival by public transport to Arth-Goldau. If you arrive directly, hand in your luggage at the luggage counter by 10 a.m. at the latest.
• Departure by public transport from Lucerne. In case of direct departure, luggage must be returned to the luggage counter by 5 p.m. at the latest.
