Discover gastronomic delights of local cuisine and wines in leisurely paced small group tours of European countries and regions. France and Italy are well known for their good food and excellent wines, where each of those two countries have regional specialties, for example in France, the Bordeaux, Cognac, Burgundy, Champagne regions. Lesser known but excellent for food and wine are countries such as Slovenia, Croatia, Slovakia, Bosnia and Montenegro, where vineyards were planted as in Italy and France, Spain, Greece and Crete, many centuries BC. All tours in the food and wine category have a primary focus on wine-tastings and excellent restaurants. No rush here - we fully support the Slow Food movement!
Most other tours in France and Italy include special meals and wine-tasting, as this is a strong part of their culture. There are also cooking school opportunities. Tours in categories such as cycling, luxury hotel barges and boat/bike tours, also include good food and wine where you can share a good conversation with your fellow travelers.
Yes, you’ll see and do many wonderful things, but at a relaxed, easy pace that invites conversation and reflection.
There’s not a village you’ll explore, or table at which you’ll dine, that you won’t remember with a smile.
Whether travelling directly with Slow Tours or one of our carefully selected, kindred-spirit partners, you’ll have our complete and constant support.
