Provence 8-day Small Group Tour

Roussillon was one of the many places we visited during our Provence holiday. What an adventure and such fun. I loved the lavender fields, exploring village markets, and I really enjoyed sharing a pedal boat on the St Croix lake to the Gorge. The markets were lively with music and lots of fresh local produce. My French improved a lot during our two weeks holiday. Now I’m looking forward to my next Slow Tour of Brittany. Brittany 8-day Small Group Tour

What a fabulous experience it was to travel with Carol and her guests over the three weeks spent in Normandy, Loire Valley and Brittany. I have a very busy corporate and social life and was looking for time to refresh and reenergise while at the same time having the opportunity to visit France to experience not only Paris and larger regional cities and their amazing histories, landmarks and art, but also to step off the main tourist drives and to experience and life in the communities; winin...

15-day French Language School

I attended this course at Antibes in 2013 at the same time as the Cannes Film Festival. It was a very well organised course and the teaching staff were university professionals. The daily afternoon trips were delightful and of course the one stop train ride to visit Cannes and to see the Film Festival in full swing very exciting. Anne Adelaide, Australia 2013

Italian Lakes 15-day Small Group Tour

The Italian Lakes Tour was spectacular; beautiful scenery combined with so much history and art. Having the opportunity to stay in Lenno on Lake Como and travel the lake to other villages by ferry ensured a memorable, cultural experience enhanced with wonderful cuisine and wines. The same applies to our time on Lake Maggiore, staying in Verbania; we particularly enjoyed our nights dining in the Plaza watching families and friends come together to dine, meet and listen to the music and/or mus...

Provence tour in September 2016

Thank you Slow Tours for the tour experiences we had in France and Italy in September. Our trip to Provence and our stay in the medieval village of Le Castellet was equally memorable and enjoyable. The Slow Tours approach to travelling to the various cities, towns and villages was again appreciated. We had the time to wander, climb up sides of mountains and stairs to amazing cathedrals and churches and wonder at the scenic vistas below; take in the local village cultures, their individ...

Small Group Tour

Our last tour, also organised through Slow Tours, was an Arts, Food and Wine Tour of Tuscany. Based in Cortona every day was filled with visits to medieval cities including Sienna, Chianti and more. Along with other guests on the tour, we were often left breathless at the beauty of their towns, their history, art, and food and wine experiences. We were so lucky to have an opera singer as a guest on this tour. She entertained not only us, but also the staff and diners in two restaurants wi...

Rhodes Island Adventure Tour

I went to Rhodes looking for adventure but found much more than that. Rhodes has so much history and many beautiful places not usually seen by most visitors. My guides knew just where to take me to give me the most fabulous experience. I can't say enough about the friendship, knowledge of Rhodes and what lengths my principal guides, Savvas and Giorgos went to ensure my stay was memorable. These guys took me to places (gems) where the tour groups never go. I was able to stay longer and see...

Croatia's Northern Parks Self-guided Cycling Tour

This cycling tour was fantastic and we LOVED it! Everything was perfect (except the weather, which rained and stormed most of the days we had to ride) but We won't hold you responsible for that. This was a trip I would absolutely recommend, and might even do again during a time of year that is a bit warmer. The hotels were all adorable, the food was fantastic, the people were amazing and the scenery was breathtaking! The one problem was that from where we were staying at the national lakes,...

Walking Tour in Spain

We did the Basque Pyrenees walk to San Sebastian in early June. It was a joy from start to finish. It is a beautiful route across the hills, nosing into lovely villages, and finishing with a coastal final day from fabulous Hondarribia to fabulous San Sebastian. We had a great welcome everywhere, and some very special places to stay. Excellent maps and route descriptions. June 2017 Dr T (UK)

Walking Tour in Spain

We felt this was a great holiday -well planned, varied and very interesting. We loved it! There was a good mix of varied walking, stunning views, landscapes, places to stay and wildlife/flowers. The quality of the hotels/guest houses was consistently superior to many holidays we have had. The routes were sufficiently challenging so we felt we had earned our rest.¨ "And the grand finale in San Sebastian: beautiful city, such and interesting place to finish. Plenty to see and very pretty...

Walking Tour in Spain

¨This part of Spain is very different from most of the country being very green. There is great variety in the area covered by these walks with first-rate hills and a lovely rocky coastline, full of character. There are some fine sandy beaches and an area of coastal marsh that is excellent for birds. The Urdaibai Bird Center by the coastal marsh was exceptionally good. We only met Spanish people on the walks and had the impression that visitors from overseas were most unusual except in the la...

Saarburg to Koblenz Bike & Barge Tour

Our bike and barge tour certainly exceeded our expectations. The captain and crew were very welcoming and always went out of their way to ensure all our needs were met. While the cabin was on the small size, it was certainly adequate in the circumstances as we were mostly cycling during the day or socialising in the common areas of the vessel at other times. Being a small boat meant we got to know all fellow travellers by sight and got to know quite a few very well. We were the only Australi...
